From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Newport delivered a huge FA Cup shock at a rocking Rodney Parade to beat Leicester 2-1 and pile the pressure on Foxes manager Claude Puel.

County bridged a gap of 74 places on the league ladder after Jamille Matt's early header was cancelled out eight minutes from time, Rachid Ghezzal's thunderous leveller having seemingly spared the Premier League visitors.

But three minutes later Marc Albrighton handled Vashon Neufville's cross on the corner of the box and Padraig Amond stroked home the resulting penalty.

It was no less than Newport, 12th in Sky Bet League Two and with only one win in all competitions since the end of November, deserved and rekindled memories of their cup heroics from last season.

Elsewhere, Manchester City put seven past Rotherham, Fulham and Sheffield United were stunned by lower-league opposition, and there were dramatic wins for QPR and Millwall. Re-live it all in the live blog below:

There were a few upsets, Oldham knocking out Fulham and League One Doncaster defeating Championship side Preston

But perhaps the biggest shock comes with Barnet overcoming Sheffield Utd 1 - 0.

What a round of matches!

There's still one game to go in today's FA Cup action.

Newport County take of Leicester City.

Have a look at the teams:

Newport 0 - 0 Leicester

Newport get the game started. They had a good run in the FA Cup last year eventually losing to Tottenham at Wembley, can they repeat their performance tonight?

Newport 0 - 0 Leicester

Joe Day makes an important ave for Newport. Leicester work the ball forward and continue the press. Ghezzal gets the ball in the box and takes a left-footed shot forcing Day to parry the ball over the bar.

Newport 0 - 0 Leicester

Okazaki fires a low shot from outside the box but Day makes the save. It's been 33 appearances for Okazaki since he last scored a goal for Leicester.

10 mins: Newport 1 - 0 Leicester - Matt

Willmott recieves the ball and runs down the right wing. He puts the ball into the box and Matt gets higher than Morgan and heads the ball into the net off the post.

Newport 1 - 0 Leicester

Newport win a free kick in a dangerous area just outside of Leicester's box. Dolan takes it with his left foot but Danny Ward covers the shot and keeps it out of the net.

Newport 1 - 0 Leicester

Leicester have two huge opportunities to equalise. First Fuchs wins a long ball and gives it to Albrighton in the box who has his shot blocked for a corner. Then the corner comes in and Jonny Evans heads it back across goal for Okazaki but he misses his own header in front of goal.
