This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

POST! But wait… the flag is up! Danjuma breaks through on goal as Wolves are caught cold. He looks for the bottom-left corner, but Sa gets a slight touch to divert the ball onto the inside of the post before the flag is belatedly raised. Danjuma and Sa didn't know that would be the case, however!

The game opens up as Bueno is dispossessed and Everton counter, with Dawson heading Danjuma's initial cross away. The hosts keep the pressure on, but Dobbin slices a left-wing delivery behind under no pressure.

Wolves create a three-on-three on the break, but Silva's slack pass is too short for Neto and Branthwaite gets across to cut it out. The visitors regain possession, however, penning Everton back.
