Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

HUGE CHANCE FOR EVERTON! How is it not 1-0? The hosts win a corner on the left, which is cleared out to Garner. His powerful strike hits Dobbin and forces Sa into a reflex save, before Tarkowski lashes the rebound into the side netting with the goal gaping! There was a suspicion of offside, but he still should have buried that!

Hwang is left in a heap off the pitch following a firm challenge from Patterson near the corner flag. The referee ignores Wolves' appeals for a foul and awards an Everton goal-kick, but that looks to be a sore one for the South Korea international. He's back to his feet after receiving some treatment.
