Sevilla's Guido Pizarro scored a 93rd-minute equaliser to complete an incredible comeback from three goals down to draw 3-3 against Liverpool on Tuesday in a pulsating Champions League Group E clash.

Liverpool were on the verge of sealing qualification to the last 16 for the first time since 2009 but Pizarro stabbed home from a corner deep into stoppage time to deny them.

Sadio Mane headed home in between two Roberto Firmino strikes to put Liverpool three goals up within 30 minutes, but Sevilla came back from the dead after the break.

Wissam Ben Yedder netted twice before Pizarro's late equaliser, leaving Liverpool top with nine points, Sevilla second with eight and Spartak Moscow third with six, after they drew 1-1 with Maribor in the group’s other game.

Liverpool, who won the Champions League in 2005 after coming from three goals down against AC Milan in the final, were given a taste of their own medicine at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and must now avoid defeat against Spartak to qualify in their final group game on Dec. 6.

Relive the action below.

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 21 November.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 2.

It’s a big game for…

Jurgen Klopp. After suffering humiliation against Tottenham last month, Liverpool have bounced back in style to win their last four games on the trot. It’s small progress but progress nonetheless. A place in the last 16 of the Champions League would be another major turning point for Klopp and his men, and would undoubtedly instil the side with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose. A defeat, though, would seriously ramp up the pressure and force Liverpool back under the spotlight.

Remember when…

Liverpool pulled ahead in the 2016 Europa League final only to be denied by a Spanish comeback which saw Sevilla claim a 3-1 victory? Watch below if you can bear to relive the experience.

Player to watch…

Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian already has 14 goals from 18 games this season. Statistically, Salah is converting chances at a quicker rate than Robbie Fowler when he entered Liverpool’s first team in sensational fashion twenty-three years ago. Salah’s feat is made more remarkable that he is not even a centre-forward. The winger has been in sparkling form of late, helping his side to hit back after the defeat to Spurs, and it’s likely he’ll have a key role to play on Tuesday night.

Reaction from Manchester City match-winner Raheem Sterling

The England winger earned all three points for City with his 88th-minute strike against Feyenoord.

"They kept really solid, we were slow on the ball. They dug in deep and stayed in the game as long as possible.

"It's always good to score but it's more important to win, even if it's ugly sometimes."

Post-match reaction from Jurgen Klopp

His analysis of the match: "It was a very good first half, a not very good second half. We stopped playing football in the second half and let them come back in the game. When you're the winning team, you should avoid this. We have one real weapon and that's playing football and we didn't do that in the second half. "

On whether his players were complacent after half-time: "I think it was OK that we were confident after the first half. They had the free-kick and then they had the penalty. It's obvious what we did. The real problem is that we stopped playing football. 3-0 is a wonderful score, there was nothing bad to say at half-time. Our main mistake was that we didn't play football anymore, we got passive and were a little bit too deep. They fought back. Big credit to them but we had to do differently."

On how Sevilla's first goal changed the match and the atmosphere at the stadium: "The atmosphere would've been the same at Anfield (after the first goal of the comeback). It feels like we lost but we didn't lose. At the moment it feels really bad."
