Liverpool were on the verge of sealing qualification to the last 16 for the first time since 2009 but Pizarro stabbed home from a corner deep into stoppage time to deny them.
Sadio Mane headed home in between two Roberto Firmino strikes to put Liverpool three goals up within 30 minutes, but Sevilla came back from the dead after the break.
Wissam Ben Yedder netted twice before Pizarro's late equaliser, leaving Liverpool top with nine points, Sevilla second with eight and Spartak Moscow third with six, after they drew 1-1 with Maribor in the groupâs other game.
Liverpool, who won the Champions League in 2005 after coming from three goals down against AC Milan in the final, were given a taste of their own medicine at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and must now avoid defeat against Spartak to qualify in their final group game on Dec. 6.

What time does it start?
The game kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 21 November.
Where can I watch it?
The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 2.
It’s a big game for…
Jurgen Klopp. After suffering humiliation against Tottenham last month, Liverpool have bounced back in style to win their last four games on the trot. It’s small progress but progress nonetheless. A place in the last 16 of the Champions League would be another major turning point for Klopp and his men, and would undoubtedly instil the side with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose. A defeat, though, would seriously ramp up the pressure and force Liverpool back under the spotlight.
Remember when…
Liverpool pulled ahead in the 2016 Europa League final only to be denied by a Spanish comeback which saw Sevilla claim a 3-1 victory? Watch below if you can bear to relive the experience.
Player to watch…
Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian already has 14 goals from 18 games this season. Statistically, Salah is converting chances at a quicker rate than Robbie Fowler when he entered Liverpool’s first team in sensational fashion twenty-three years ago. Salah’s feat is made more remarkable that he is not even a centre-forward. The winger has been in sparkling form of late, helping his side to hit back after the defeat to Spurs, and it’s likely he’ll have a key role to play on Tuesday night.

Pre-match quotes from Jurgen Klopp
On facing Sevilla, who haven't lost at home in over a year: "We know how strong they are. We know how special the atmosphere is. We will see how we handle it but it's special, 100%."
On how his side has improved since the return game at Anfield: "That was one of our best games. We should've have scored a lot more and it was a really good game. The main thing that changes is Phil (Coutinho) being in the team so that's a big boost."
On his team's improved defensive record in recent weeks: "I've been happy when we conceded goals, so it's not that I think we can never concede anymore. The last game is only a few days ago but it feels like it's four years ago. We only have to concentrate on this game. There will be a few challenges for us tonight. They are really good."
Quotes from BT Sport
We are just five minutes away from kick-off in Seville, where Liverpool can seal their place in the last 16 with a victory. Will they get it? Stay right here and you'll find out over the next couple of hours or so.
GOAL! Sevilla 0-1 Liverpool (Firmino)
2' - Liverpool get the early goal as Roberto Firmino turns the ball home at the far post after Gini Wijnaldum's flick-on from Philippe Coutinho's corner. Shoddy defending from Sevilla and an even worse celebration from Firmino, who produces a horrible dance to mark his eighth goal of the season.
8' - Sevilla have had the lion's share of possession since conceding that early opener but they haven't looked threatening in the slightest going forward. Liverpool are fully in control here early doors.
10' - Jordan Henderson gives away a free-kick on the edge of Liverpool's penalty area for a foul on Wissam Ben Yedder but Ever Banega's delivery is poor and Loris Karius catches the ball with ease.
13' - That's the hosts' best move of the match so far.
Nolito finds Sergio Escudero with a reverse pass in the penalty area that takes Joe Gomez out of the game. However, the left-back greedily goes for goal from a tight angle and hits the side netting. A cross would've been a far better option there.
17' - Sevilla have cranked up the pressure in the last few minutes and are giving the visitors a fair bit to think about at the back. Liverpool look very dangerous on the counter though. Mo Salah got on the end of an Alberto Moreno cross a few moments ago but couldn't quite get the ball under control and was dispossessed before getting his shot away.
20' - Sevilla go agonisingly close to equalising twice in the space of a couple of minutes. First Loris Karius does superbly to tip Nolito's close-range effort onto the post after the Spaniard had skinned Joe Gomez before Wissam Ben Yedder puts a one-on-one chance agonisingly wide of the Liverpool goalkeeper's far post. This game should be level.
