From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

So with the teams finally confirmed, they head out for the warm-ups on a brisk night in north London. the PSG players look relaxed as they go through a number of passing drills to my right, while the Arsenal starting line-up are currently stretching as a collective unit before they step their preparations up a gear.

Here we go then, the lights dim down for another European night at the Emirates, and the clock begins to tick its way down from 10. As usual, the Emirates is still filling up, but you can guarantee this one will actually be a sell-out.
Out come the two sides, and as that iconic Champions League anthem strikes up, suddenly the stands fill rapidly as fans surge to their seats. It'll be interesting to see how PSG line-up to start with, as although the team sheet says it's a 4-33, I've got a suspicion it'll be more of a 4-3-1-2.
2 mins: A busy start for Arsenal as they give possession away immediately to Matuidi, who is lining up on the left side here. Ramsey slides in firmly though and wins the ball cleanly, sending the France midfielder sprawling in the process.
3 mins: Arsenal have their first real attack as Giroud pokes the ball away from Krychowiak in midfield. It releases Jenkinson down the right who gets to the byline, but his cross is hot over everyone in the box and the chance goes. Giroud was lurking at the back post, and it's a lively start from the striker.
