Crystal Palace vs Liverpool LIVE score: Premier League result and reaction
Crystal Palace 0-0 Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp’s Reds endured a frustrating evening in London as they failed to break down Palace
Liverpool completed a difficult week with a frustrating 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace that did little to enhance their prospects of finishing in the Premier League’s top four.
Thrashed 5-2 at home by Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp’s side laboured against a Palace side who well deserved their point.
Liverpool moved up a place to seventh in the table, six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. Without a win in eight league games, Palace are 12th, six points above the relegation zone.
Mohamed Salah hit the woodwork for Liverpool in the second half but Palace had two gilt-edged chances in the first period with Marc Guehi heading wide and Jean-Philippe Mateta firing a shot against the crossbar.

Klopp was quickly down the tunnel at the half-time whistle; his side look shaky at the back and are causing a lot of their own problems, which he'll want to cut out after the break. Vieira will be pleased with his players and how they put pressure on the visitors. They got into some good positions, but need to create better chances for themselves.

It's goalless at the break between Palace and Liverpool. The Reds dominated possession and created more chances, with Jota coming the closest when he thumped a close-range header against the post from a tight angle. He and Salah also saw a chance each comfortably saved by Guaita. Palace have caused Liverpool some real problems with their high press. Mateta struck the bar after Schlupp won it on the edge of the box, and Guehi thumped a header just wide.

Liverpool are making one last push for a breakthrough before half-time. Gakpo is waiting in the middle, but it's blocked by Andersen ahead of him, and Salah can't bring it down with Guehi tight to him.

Palace's high press is still causing Liverpool all sorts of problems. This time, Matip completely mishits a clearance and it bounces to Schlupp behind him, but Alisson rushes out of his box to sweep it away.

OFF THE POST! Alexander-Arnold is dispossessed by Schlupp on the edge of his own box, and it's fizzed into Mateta. He hits the shot first time, lifting it over Alisson, but it skims off the top of the crossbar on its way over.
