Follow live coverage as Chelsea head into their fourth Champions League group stage match looking for another three points which would leave them within touching distance of the knock-out phase, as they face Swedish side Malmo on Tuesday evening. So far, Thomas Tuchel’s side have won twice and suffered defeat to group leaders Juventus, who are at home to Dynamo Kyiv this evening - victory for the Blues would likely see a six-point gap between themselves and third place.
Domestically, Chelsea beat Newcastle comfortably at the weekend after progressing through to the League Cup quarter-finals a week ago, leaving them on a six-game unbeaten run in all competitions. Malmo have lost just once in a six-game run of their own, but that was against their visitors tonight, in a 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge in the reverse fixture two weeks ago.
The Blues still have injury concerns in their forward line with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner sidelined, while Mateo Kovacic is also out injured to further whittle down Tuchel’s squad options until after the upcoming international break. 66 mins: A headed flick on from Ronaldo sends Rashford sprinting down the left wing and he wins a throw in deep in Atalanta’s half. Shaw throws the ball back in play but De Roon stops it from reaching Fernandes.

There’s no way into the box for Ronaldo or Fernandes but the ball comes out to Shaw on the left side. He whips a deep cross into the penalty area but there’s no-one there to get on the end of it.

60 mins: Maguire takes too long to clear a simple ball up the pitch and Koopmeiners nicks it off him. He runs into the box and squares it across to Zapata but Bailly once again makes a last ditch interception to clear the ball! If Atalanta score again it’s curtains for Man Utd.

58 mins: It’s a goal! The longer that VAR check went on the more nervous it became for Manchester United. Harry Maguire seems to be the man at fault but there hasn’t been any replays to confirm that. It doesn’t matter though as Atalanta take the lead once more!

The free kick is flicked over the top and Zapata sprints into the box. The ball drops for him and he slots it coolly past David De Gea. Manchester United were playing for offside and the flag is raised.

Palomino gets forward and plays it into Zapata but McTominay nips across to intercept. United are unable to play the ball out from the back though and Remo Freuler wins the ball back. He slides it towards the byline where Maehle makes an underlapping run. He cuts a pass back into the box but Bailly is there to clear the danger.

50 mins: Mason Greenwood hits the post but he’s offside! Man Utd’s intent is already better. They’re moving the ball around the final third a lot quicker with short, sharp, one-touch passes. Rashford slips Greenwood into the box and he drills a shot onto the post but the offside flag is raised.

48 mins: Zappacosta drives down the right side but is tackled by Maguire and the ball goes out for a goal kick off the Atalanta man.
Man Utd lose the ball in midfield again and the home side fly up the pitch. It comes to Koopmeiners who shoots and fires his effort straight into Pogba. The ball loops into the box and drops for Zapata who tries to turn it into the back of the net but the offside flag goes up against him.
Second half: Atalanta 1 - 1 Man Utd
Kick off: No further changes from Manchester United but Atalanta have replaced Mario Pasalic with Berat Djimsiti. He slots into the back three with Marten De Roon pushed higher up into central midfield.
Elsewhere in Group F
Villarreal are beating Young Boys 1-0 in the other Group F fixture. If they go on to win that game and Man Utd lose the Red Devils could be knocked out of the Champions League on Matchday Five when they face the Spanish side.
As it stands though United are still top of the group and will remain there if they avoid defeat tonight.
