Jake Paul beat Nate Diaz by unanimous decision in their highly-anticipated boxing match in Dallas as he knocked down the mixed martial arts star en route to victory.
Diaz was fighting for the first time since leaving the UFC and proved an awkward opponent on his boxing debut in front of a Texas crowd that was hugely in his favour, although he lacked the power to really hurt his heavily-favoured opponent.
YouTuber Paul knocked him down in the fifth round of their 10-round contest but Diaz got back to his feet and made the final bell. However, the judges’ scorecards showed the relatively one-sided nature of the victory as he prevailed 97-92, 98-91, 98-91.
With his record as a professional boxer now at 7-1, attention turns to Paul’s next contest. He has offered Diaz $10m for a fight under MMA rules, with the former UFC star considering the offer, while a rematch to avenge his sole loss earlier this year against Tommy Fury – half-brother of world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson – could also be a possibility.

Round Four: Hardy gets a straight left hand through the guard but there’s little power there and Serrano isn’t troubled. Serrano finds a couple of right hooks to the head then follows up with an uppercut.
Serrano moves to the body and lands two power hits but Hardy stays on her feet and gets to the end of the round.

Round Three: Hardy fights with a lot of heart. She’s absorbing a lot of pressure and a lot of punches. Hardy is looking for the opening to get inside but Serrano is quicker and stronger.
There’s a bit of blood coming from Hardy’s top lip. Serrano takes a third round from three.

Round Two: Hardy starts the second round with a flurry of jabs in an attempte to halt Serrano’s momentum. Serrano catches Hardy on the chin then pins her with a left hook to the nose.
Serrano is bullying Hardy around this ring. There’s a wobble from Hardy right at the end of the round as she takes another punch to the chin.
Hardy is trying to slug it out with Serrano and it’s not going well for her so far.

Round One: Amanda Serrano, a seven-division world champion, has 30 knockouts to her name and is one of the most destructive fighters in women’s boxing.
This co-main event gets started with both boxers feeling each other out. Hardy throws a combo but is met with a some heavy body shots.
Serrano and Hardy trade blows with Serrano catching her with a left hand to the chin. Hardy’s legs are already starting to wobble. This one might not last very long.
A short left hard draws blood from Hardy’s nose just before the bell goes.

Hardy is tough though and will give as good as she gets.

Despite suffering a first defeat of his career when he fought an actual boxer Jake Paul is adamant he will become a world champion.
“I’m more certain that I can become world champion now than I was before,” Paul said, reflecting on the defeat to Fury.
“I have all the tools, the punching power, the strength, the cardio, the speed so really it’s just about the thousands and thousands and thousands of repetitions that I need to become a world champion.”

Round Six: Stephens lands a right hand but Avila comes back at him with a couple of power hits of his own. A five punch combo sees all of them break through Stephens’ guard.
Stephens lands a wide right-hand hook that slaps Avila on the side of the head. Stephens has had a good round as the two men trade blows in the centre of the ring.
Avila’s looks to have done enough to take this one though.
