Donald Trump has accused Kamala Harris of staging a photo she posted of her speaking on the phone with the director of FEMA about the response to Hurricane Helene.
The vice president is seen sitting aboard Air Force Two with an iPhone on the table in front of her and an earpiece in one ear. The former president claims the headset is not connected to the phone.
At the weekend Trump ramped up his campaigning and is being mocked online for suggesting a concept to tackle crime that mirrors the horror movie franchise The Purge.
In a wild rally speech in Pennsylvania on Sunday, the former president proposed “one really violent day” could put an end to crime across the US: “One rough hour and I mean real rough, the word will get out and it will end immediately.”
During the rambling speech, Trump also admitted he “hated” paying workers overtime at his businesses – and would replace workers who asked for it. “I shouldn’t say this,” he admitted.
Harris’s campaign quickly seized on the comments, branding Trump a “scab.”
Meanwhile, Tim Walz and JD Vance are preparing to go head-to-head in the vice presidential debate on Tuesday.
Harris to troll Trump with plane banner during Alabama-Georgia football game
The Harris campaign plans to troll Donald Trump on Saturday as he attends a highly anticipated college football game between Georgia and Alabama.
The campaign announced it plans to send a plane flying a banner with the words “Say It To My Face” during the game – a reference to Trump’s refusal to debate his Democratic rival for a second time.

Zelensky is praising Pennsylvania artillery shell manufacturers in a new social media post after visiting a factory in Scranton earlier this week.
Harris runs ad pressuring Trump to debate her a second time
“Winners never back down from a challenge,” the 30-second ad, which aired during the Georgia-Alabama college football game, states. “Champions know it’s anytime, anyplace. But losers, they whine and waffle and take their ball home.”
Harris continued: “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage,” she says. “If you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”
JD Vance criticizes Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky
During the Ukrainian president’s visit this week, he toured an artillery shell factory in Scranton, but Vance claimed he came to campaign with Democratic leadership.
Zelensky used his visit to thank the factory workers for manufacturing the shells used to support Ukraine in its war against Russia.
“We spent $200 billion on Ukraine. You know what I wish Zelensky would do when he comes to the United States of America? Say thank you to the people of Pennsylvania and everybody else,” Vance misleadingly said.
Trump: ‘Two years ago I wouldn’t have had a fly up here'
A fly interrupted Trump’s rally speech in Wisconsin on Saturday, which he insinuated could be due to an influx of migrants.
“Two years ago I wouldn’t have had a fly up here,” the former president said.
