Boris Johnson has said he will make the NHS an "overwhelming priority" during his renewed tenure in No. 10 following a political “earthquake” which which saw Labour support give way top a comfortable Tory majority.
However he has not extended the same olive branch to voters north of the border - telling Nicola Sturgeon he would not lend any support to a second independence referendum.
Meanwhile Jeremy Corbyn has refused to take responsibility for the worst Labour showing since 1935 - blaming Brexit for the party’s devastating defeat.

Caroline Flint has lost her seat. Another ex-industrial seat lost and another big beast of the Labour party gone, too.

Jo Swinson loses seat
Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson has been beaten by only 149 votes, and her Dunbartonshire East seat goes to the SNP.

Jo Swinson gives concession speech
The Lib Dem leader has given a speech after losing her seat. She did not say she would stand down, and instead spoke about her achievements and said that she still believes in her old policies.
Laura Pidcock loses her seat
The Conservatives have won Pidcock's North West Durham seat.
She had been one of the people touted to be leader after Jeremy Corbyn. And it's another seat in the north east that has turned blue.
Boris Johnson heads back to Downing Street
The BBC are tracking the prime minister as he heads back to Westminster. It's not clear whether he'll give a speech when he gets back.
