Boris Johnson has said he will make the NHS an "overwhelming priority" during his renewed tenure in No. 10 following a political “earthquake” which which saw Labour support give way top a comfortable Tory majority.

Labour holds Islington South & Finsbury
Emily Thornberry – one of the many contenders to be leader after Jeremy Corbyn – keeps her seat, and says the fightback starts now.

The Labour leader has commanded a very safe majority in his Islington North constituency. But that is far from shocking – what will be more important is the speech he may give after.
Dominic Raab wins in Esher and Walton seeing off the Lib Dem threat
Sinn Fein wins Belfast North from the DUP
Nigel Dodds, the DUP leader in Westminster, has lost his seat. And it is a key seat: since it was created in 1885, it has always been held by unionists.
Conservatives gain Sedgefield from Labour
Tony Blair's old seat has gone to the Tories, after a huge swing of 12.8.
