At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. This means that this year Americans are expected to spend 18 per cent more money on Cyber Monday than they did in on the same day in 2017.
Adobe also revealed that Black Friday 2018 was the first day in history to see more than $2bn (£1.56bn) spent on smartphones.
"Retailers have done their part to build better mobile experiences for consumers and turning nearly 10 per cent more smartphone visitors into buyers this Black Friday versus last," said Taylor Schreiner, director of Adobe Digital Insights.
