After years of frenzied rumours, Sony is finally about to launch the PS5 Pro, a high-spec gaming behemoth that’s set to blow every games console out of the water. Pre-orders for the console went live exclusively at PlayStation Direct this morning, and we’ve already seen Oasis levels of mayhem.
Sony hasn’t merely launched a new PS5 Pro, but also a limited-edition PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition bundle, with the console and accessories kitted out in that legendary greyscale colourway of the OG PlayStation 1. The gaming giant has also dropped a new PS5 Slim and PlayStation Portal in the same grey colour palette.
The tech firm says it only manufactured 12,300 PS5 Pro consoles in the grey colourway, each etched with a limited-edition number, meaning only a very lucky few were able to get their hands on one. Live now, we’re tracking PS5 Pro stock in real-time to help you cop one.

Re-sellers list PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition bundles for £5,000
It’s been almost two hours since the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition bundle went on sale (and almost instantly sold out). After a quick hop to eBay, and it seems that re-sellers are already listing the bundle for almost £5,000 – five times the original price. Needless to say, gamers aren’t too impressed.

PlayStation Portal 30th anniversary edition is available to pre-order
Both the PS5 Slim 30th anniversary edition bundle and the PS5 Slim 30th anniversary console have now sold out, but if you missed out, third-party retailers will be stocking this model at a later date – we’ll have more information on that later.
For now, the last 30th anniversary edition device in stock is the PlayStation Portal and the two DualSense accessories.

As we wait patiently for PlayStation to open its doors, a leaker has just revealed pricing for the 30th anniversary bundle. And while it’s a lot of money, it’s not quite a grand. Bilbil-kun, a reputable leaker who brought us the first images of the PS5 Pro a week before it launched, has sources in retail.
According to the insider, the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition bundle will cost £959.99 in the UK.
How much will the PS5 Pro cost in the UK?

Sony has announced that the PS5 Pro will cost an eye-watering £699.99 at launch. It features an upgraded GPU, advanced ray tracing and AI-driven upscaling, making your games run smoother, look better and work harder than ever before.

Sony has yet to reveal the price of the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition bundle, but we’re expecting it to cost around £1,000. In Australia, the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition bundle cost $1,649.99 AUD (£847.92). Every item in the bundle has the legacy grey colour palette and features the classic multi-coloured PlayStation logo.
The bundle includes the grey PS5 Pro with a 2TB SSD, DualSense controller, a DualSense Edge controller, aDualSense charging station, a vertical stand and a console cover for the disc drive (which is sold separately). You also get an original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing, four PlayStation shapes cable ties, a PlayStation sticker, a limited-edition PlayStation poster (with one of 30 possible designs and a PlayStation paperclip.
What time will PS5 Pro pre-orders go live in the UK?

Sony is about to open pre-orders for the PS5 Pro and PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition in the UK. The PS5 Pro will officially launch on 7 November 2024, and the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition will launch on 21 November 2024.
While Sony hasn’t stated what time exactly it will drop, rumours suggest it’ll be at 10am in the UK. The gaming giant has already opened up a waiting room on the PlayStation Direct website, so that seems likely. We’ll be tracking pre-orders live right throughout the day, so stay tuned.
