After a two-month delay, the nominations for the 2021 Oscars have finally announced.
The pandemic caused the 93rd Academy Awards to be pushed back, but Hollywood is now reacting to the news.
Husband and wife duo Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas named the films in contention during a live broadcast, which starts at 12.19pm GMT.
Mank leads the way with 10 nominations, including Best Picture, as well as David Fincher for Best Director, Gary Oldman for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Amanda Seyfried for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
British actors have got a significant look-in at this year’s ceremony, too, via Oldman’s nod for Mank as well as nominations for Sound of Metal’s Riz Ahmed, and Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman in The Father.

After winning a Golden Globe for the Mauritanian, Jodie Foster missed out on an Oscar nomination. The last time this happened was in 1976 when Katharine Ross missed out for Voyage of the Damned.
It would be seriously great to see Sound of Metal’s nominations turn into wins at the ceremony next month.
