‘Oh my god’: British family’s baby monitor captures moment mother rescues child as earthquake strikes
A British mother on holiday in Turkey cried “oh my god” as a deadly earthquake shook her baby’s crib.
Footage shows Victoria and Lemi Gezer’s baby daughter, Katelyn, in the city of Adana, near the epicentre of the deadly quake.
The family, from Hull, were on holiday in Turkey when the devastating event took place.
Baby monitor footage captures Frere Jacques playing on the baby’s music box as the 7.8-Magnitude earthquake shakes the building.
Mr Gezer, who provides security for Hull City owner Acun Ilicali, says he was in Istanbul when the quake hit, but his wife Victoria and baby were in Adana, much closer to the epicentre.
He immediately drove for 12 hours to reach his family.
