Police use chainsaw to smash into £2.7m cannabis factory
Police officers used a chainsaw to smash through a cannabis farm with an estimated street value of around £2.7m in Telford on Friday (8 November).
The grow was found at an abandoned industrial unit in Hortonwood.
Officers executed a search warrant after receiving information about unusual activity taking place at the unit.
Upon entering the building, almost 3,000 mature cannabis plants were discovered, along with several boxes of already cropped plants. Together they hold an estimated street value of around £2.7m.
Three men, aged 27, 30, and 45, were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, and taken to custody where they remain as enquiries are carried out.
