Matt Hancock has been accused of rejecting advice to test all care home residents in England for Covid-19.

A new investigation by The Telegraph, based on over 100,000 leaked WhatsApp messages between the former health secretary and other ministers and officials during the height of the pandemic has shed new light on a number of issues.

Mr Hancock has denied what he branded as being a “distorted account,” and a spokesman said the messages were “spun to fit an anti-lockdown agenda.”
