‘Very sorry’: Martin Lewis warns millions on wrong tax code

Martin Lewis has issued a stark warning for employees to check they have been issued the right tax code as "millions" are wrong.

The money guru was asked during an appearance on This Morning if there was anything that can be done if HMRC come asking for money.

A viewer had asked for Lewis's help after he told he owed the government £5,000 because he was being undertaxed.

The MoneySavingExpert founder said he was "very sorry," but the onus was on him to check he had the right code.
