Your support makes all the difference.Bitterly cold temperatures are swept the UK on Friday, alongside heavy snowfall, ice and freezing fog, particularly in western England.
Yellow warnings for snow and ice were in place across parts of the UK, with overnight temperatures falling to almost -13C in Scotland.
The Met Office warned that road and rail journeys could be disrupted due to the cold weather. Flights were also affected as airports struggled to clear snow.
Further snow and ice are expected.
A British Airways spokesperson confirmed to The Independent:
We recognise the uncertainty that the bad weather may be causing customers, and have offered those due to travel on short-haul flights to/from Heathrow the opportunity to postpone their journey.
Due to the adverse weather conditions predicted, we have been forced to cancel and merge a number of short-haul flights today to ensure that we protect the rest of our schedule.
Safety is always our priority, and we're working hard to keep our operation moving. We're sorry that some of our services are being delayed by the weather conditions.
Our flights to and from Gatwick and London City Airports are planned to operate as normal.
We are advising customers to keep checking ba.com for the latest information about their flights.
If you're commuting into London from Kent or Sussex, a reminder that Southeastern is running its winter timetable today and some trains might not be direct.
The operator adds that if necessary passengers can use their ticket on the Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich, or on London Underground, for free.
An update on operations at Bristol Airport. The airfield will remain shut until 12pm today, it confirmed, due to a high volume of snow.
Cardiff Airport is warning passengers that there may be some disruption to scheduled flights, due to adverse weather conditions.
Customers are advised to check live flight information on the website, and to contact their airlines directly for further information.
So far 11 flights have been cancelled this morning - a Flybe service from Belfast and five flights from and to Amsterdam with KLM, Jet Airways, Air France, Delta Airlines and Kenya Airways. Several flights to and from Paris are delayed.
The roads to and from the airport may also be busier and slower than normal so customers are advised to allow plenty of time for their journeys.
Exeter Airport has told travellers to allow extra time to get to the airport and check local weather reports as more snow is forecast this morning.
Newquay Airport is currently closed due to snow and will not reopen until 10.30am.
The airport was also closed for about 45 minutes yesterday while the runway was cleared.
Network Rail West has confirmed that trains are running this morning, but some services may be disrupted.
Although most services are running this morning some regions may be more affected than others by the wintry weather.
Please continue to check before travelling as freezing temperatures and more snowfall mean additional services may be affected.
Great Western services have been badly affected by the snow this morning.
Currently 24 services are listed as cancelled on the train operator's website.
There are also hazard warnings for the following stations: Bristol Temple Meads, Henley-On-Thames, Nailsea and Backwell, Stonehouse, Tiverton Parkway, Weston-Super-Mare and Yatton.
Passengers are warned to take extra care on icy platforms at these stations.
Gatwick seems to be operating as normal, with the only services affected being domestic flights to other UK airports that are struggling with the snow.
Currently two flights to and from Newquay airport with BA and Flybe are cancelled, while an 8.40am easyJet service to Bournemouth simply has the staus “scheduled”.
