Gian Villante vs Ilir Latifi - Round 2 Round 2 begins with Villante once again happy to kick away at Latifi from distance. Latifi slips in a left hand but Villantemoves back out to distance and lands a kick. Latifi then clinches up and lands a big slam to Latifi. The Swede gets his back but Villante squirms out and takes the fight back to the feet. Latifi lands a body shot but Villante responds with his own. Villante stuffs another takedown and then lands a right hand over the top. Inside left kick by the New Yorker who continues to fight at the range he wants to. Latifi sneaks in a lead uppercut and looks for another takedown which he successfully gets. In the last few seconds, he lands a big hammerfist to the side of Villante's head but he sees out the round. 10-9 Latifi.
Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate - Round 2Miesha starts the round well and scores a takedown and immediately gets into side control. Tate beings to rain down elbows as Holm struggles on her back. This is exactly how Tate needs to fight in order to win. Tate moves into side control and is controlling Holm impeccably on the ground. Tate continues the ground and pound as Holm continues to position her body so that it's impossible from Holm to get back to her feet. Tate then lands some big elbows as she isolates attacks the arm of Holm. Tate then gets the back of Holm who is in trouble here. Holm grabs her wrist but Tate sinks in a rear naked choke and looks to get the tap. With 30 seconds left and the champion is in big trouble. She manages to somehow escape the choke and see out the round. BIG round for Tate. 10-9 Tate
Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate - Round 3The fight is back on the feet at the start of the third and Holm is looking a lot more tentative to exchange. Holm lands a nice headkick but Tate looks very confident and she lands a left on Holm when she walks into the exchange. Holm lands a quick jab to rock back the head of Tate. Holm lands a few more jabs on Tate who seems to have slowed her pace down after a frenetic second. Holly lands a kick to the thigh and then another jab. The champion has seemingly recovered now as Tate misses with a right hand. Holm lands another side kick to the midsection. As Tate goes for another takedown, Holm stuffs it and takes the round. 10-9 Holm.
Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate - Round 4Holm comes out again with a sidekick but she is clinched up against the cage by Tate. Holm puts Miesha's back to the cage but they break away after a brief exchange. Holm's been struggling to land combinations and has resorted to landing single shots. The round features very little action, Tate still maintaining the distance but Holm landing jabs infrequently. A lead front kick narrowly misses the head of Tate as Tate attempts to take her down again. Holm stuffs it and manages to get back to her feet quickly after landing a few rapid shots to the head.Holm continues to land jabs and is looking like she is taking control of the fight late in the round. Holm lands a big kick and then a few jabs that rock Tate. Another round to the champion. 10-9 Holm
Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate - Round 5Tate has to win this round if she has any chance of taking the belt from Holly. They touch gloves and we are underway for the final five minutes. Holly once again jabs and moves and then lands oblique kick ala Jon Jones. Holly is controlling the centre of the Octagon and continues to pepper jabs into Tate who will needs to do something special to take this fight now. Holm goes for another sidekick and looks in total control at this point with three minutes left.Tate clinches up but Holm reverses it and then pulls out landing a straight right as they separated. Another sidekick from Holm lands as Tate goes for yet another takedown. Tate gets another takedown thought and has her back with two minutes left!TATE GETS THE BACK AND CHOKES OUT THE CHAMPION!!!!!WINNER - MIESHA TATE!!!
