Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.FAME MMA hold their first card in the United Kingdom tonight, with a host of familiar faces involved in the action.
The UFC is far from the only organisation involved in the sport of mixed martial arts. In recent years a number of competitors have started putting on shows, with FAME MMA holding their first event in Poland last year.
Since then they have grown in size and their first UK card is headlined by a grudge match between Geordie Shore stars Sam Gowland and Marty McKenna.
The show was originally supposed to be headlined by a fight between reality stars Scotty T and Stevie Bear, only for the former to pull out just five days before the fight.
But don’t worry – Dapper Laughs is still involved. Here’s everything you need to know.

Henderson beats Fox via TKO (punches) in the first round.
Fox: "Did I win? Do you know what, I'm not gonna say anything. He won fair and square. You have to respect a man who does that. I was beaten by the better man."
Fox: "Most probably [I would consider doing this again]. 10 people pulled out fighting him. I wasn't even off the couch three months ago. I should not have taken this fight. But it's banter, isn't it!"
Sure is pal.
Fox round his interview off by calling out footballer and convicted paedophile Adam Johnson.
Henderson: "I have competed freestyle and travelled the world. But this is another kind of pressure. But I'm strong and I train as hard as I can. People can say what they want about this organisation but I come to fight. So bring on the next one."
The next fight should certainly be interesting. It's Harvey from So Solid Crew vs Dapper Laughs!
Dapper Laughs is, of course, the misogynist Facebook comedian who was briefly famous for five minutes before being cancelled on Newsnight.
He walks to the cage to the tune of So Solid's '21 Seconds'. Ban-ter!
Chalmers is on co-commentating duty. "[Dapper] has been in jail, so he's not going to be a pushover, put it that way."
And here comes Harvey. He looks mean. I think Dapper could die here.
