Novak Djokovic reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon with a dominant display against Holger Rune on Centre Court on Monday evening before a furious speech accusing fans of being “disrespectful”.
Elena Rybakina produced a superb display earlier in the day before her opponent Anna Kalinskaya was forced to retire hurt.
There were tears for Elina Svitolina, despite victory over , with the Ukrainian left distraught after missile attacks on five cities, with the country’s largest children’s hospital in Kyiv hit.
Alex De Minaur had too much for Arthur Fils, reaching the quarter-finals for the first time in his career. Barbora Krejcikova had too much for Danielle Collins and Jelena Ostapenko eased into the last eight with victory against Yulia Putintseva.

Novak Djokovic returns to action as the fourth round of Wimbledon continues, with the seven-time champion facing Holger Rune in the match of the day on Centre Court.
Rune, 21, has beaten Djokovic in two of their five meetings and the confident Dane will fancy his chances of taking down the seven-time champion at Wimbledon. .
Elsewhere, Elena Rybakina is looking strong and the 2022 champion Anna Kalinskaya in a wide-open section of the women’s draw after Yulia Putintsevka knocked out world No 1 Iga Swiatek.
