From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Day six of the Wimbledon Championships sees a whole host of big names in action with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Serena Williams all on court at SW19.
Fresh from his epic tussle with Nick Kyrgios, Nadal is back on Centre Court with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga his next foe before Federer continues his campaign against France's Lucas Pouille afterwards.
Britain's Harriet Dart takes on world No 1 Ashleigh Barty before that while 23-time Grand Slam champion Williams continues her march to what she hopes is yet another All England Club title against Julia Goerges on Court One.
Two-time champ Murray will also be in action as he returns for round two of the men's doubles alongside partner Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

*Tsonga 1-2 Nadal
On serve early on Centre between Tsonga and Rafa.
It's their first ever meeting at Wimbledon, and only their second on grass. Should be a cracking match this.
*Herbert/Murray 7-6(4) 2-3 Mektic/Skugor
Chances not converted again for Herbert and Murray.
Two break points, the second saved with a brilliant backhand winner out wide by Skugor on the run. He holds, still on serve in the second set.
COURT 1 UPDATE
On serve early on in the first set between Sloane Stephens and Johanna Konta, 3-2 Stephens.
Konta had her match of the year in beating Stephens at the French Open last month - can she do it again?
Tsonga 1-3 Nadal*
An early break for Nadal! At 40-30 down, Tsonga went in all with what looked to be a thumping forehand winner on the left. The umpire said out. Hawk-eye agreed, with the ball wide of the sideline by the finest of margins. Nadal in front.
Herbert/Murray 7-6(4) 3-3 Mektic/Skugor*
A break point on Herbert's own serve, but a mix-up on the baseline between the Croats hand Murray an easy volley winner.
Murray hits the same shot on game point, and the Frenchman/Brit hold serve.
*Tsonga 1-4 Nadal
Nadal serves to love, finishing off in style with a thumping ace. Easy as you like.
Tsonga 2-4 Nadal*
Tsonga quickly moves to 40-0 on his serve but Nadal rallies to take the next two points. The Frenchman keeps his nerve, though, serving out with a juicy ace.
Stephens 6-3 Konta
Britain's Konta is down a set in her third-round encounter with Stephens. A disappointing 30 minutes from Britain's No 1.
*Tsonga 2-5 Nadal
Nadal takes this game to deuce with a stunning forehand winner that left Tsonga rooted to the spot. The Spaniard really opened up his shoulder before letting loose with a stunning, swirling strike that picked out the bottom right-hand corner of the Frenchman’s court.
Herbert/Murray 7-6(4) 4-6 Mektic/Skugor*
MEKTIC/SKUGOR WIN THE SECOND SET!
Well, well, well, it's a set apiece there!
Both pairs continue to hold serve despite glimpses, but this time serving to stay in the set, Herbert misses an overhead at deuce and it's SET POINT to Mektic/Skugor.. a return in play, and Herbert nets a backhand half-volley - huge cheers from Mektic/Skugor, who have effectively nicked that second set.
Game on now...
