Follow the latest updates from the Six Nations clash between Wales and Scotland as ‘Super Saturday’ gets under way with a record-breaking affair at Parc y Scarlets.

It will be a day to remember for Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones as the lock makes his 149th international appearance to break Richie McCaw’s record of Test appearances, with this being his 140th outing for his country on top of his nine Lions appearances. Wales fans will also look to debutant flanker Shane Lewis-Hughes, having been talked up by the skipper himself as one to watch for the future.

Scotland will be a significantly more dangerous proposition today though with the enigmatic Finn Russell back at fly-half after resolving his differences with head coach Gregor Townsend, with the Scots out to claim a rare away victory that could secure them a top-three finish in the Championship. 79 mins: Italy 5-34 England

Italy get a free-kick straight after another, but it’s knocked forwards and England will have one last chance to try add to their points haul.

Can England bag one more try here? They’re going for it, as May threads a lovely kick down the line that forces Italy to kick into touch inside the 22. However, England’s lineout drive this time goes wrong as Genge goes in front of the jumper to go offside, giving Italy the penalty. Tom Dunn meanwhile comes on for Jamie George to become the fourth England debutant today.

The floodgates have opened as Farrell nudges the ball through for former Saracens teammate Earl to collect, and though he’s tackled short he wisely pops the ball up for Henry Slade to step inside Garbisi and Mori and dive over to score the fifth try. Farrell misses the conversion again though, this time hitting the upright, and that’s four points missed.

TRY FOR ENGLAND!

How important will this prove? George breaks right from the maul and passes to Youngs, who is forced into contact, and when England are short on numbers Italy try the counter-attack. It’s a mistake as Tom Curry sweeps round and spots an empty blindside as wing Mori has entered the ruck, and he breezes over to score the crucial fourth try. Farrell can’t add the conversion, which he will not like one bit as it’s now all about every point England can score - and not conceded.

TRY FOR ENGLAND! THE BONUS POINT!

England are awarded the free-kick for pre-engagement, and it’s upgraded to a penalty for backchat that Farrell send to touch inside the Italian 22. A chance here for England to try and wrap up the bonus point.

Youngs sends up a box kick and although it’s taken well, Thorley times his tackle to perfection and possession is turned over. Will Stuart, just on for Sinckler, picks and goes, and Thorley follows suit as the replacement speed up the tempo, but England cough up possession when they go wide and the ball is knocked on.

Italy get driven back quickly by England’s confrontational defence, with Itoje leading the charge, but Violi and Canna work a chance down the left wing, only for a Curry tap tackle dislodging the ball and forcing it into touch to let England off the hook.

Here come the changes. Gianmarco Lucchesi and David Sisi are on, and they immediately have a penalty to work with as Itoje is penalised for handling the jumper again. Bigi and Cannone are off for Italy, by the way.
