From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Second-row Cory Hill forced his way over in the 68th minute after a lengthy period of Welsh resurgence to seize the lead for the first time, his team thriving amid the arrival of replacement fly-half Dan Biggar from the bench to direct the final quarter.
And bedlam ensued at the Principality Stadium in the closing moments when Josh Adams grabbed Biggar's crossfield kicked to touch down and confirm a famous win.
Gatland's first taste of success over opposite number Eddie Jones in four attempts also set a new national record of 12 consecutive victories and was a fitting way to end their Championship rivalry before the Kiwi steps down after the World Cup.

56 mins: Wales are going after Sinckler here, as when he tries to hold Jones up in the air, he's got him by the neck and and Jones duly points it out. Wales have the penalty in front of the posts, and Anscombe kicks it through the middle. 9-10
60 mins: Eddie Jones decides enough is enough and pulls Sinckler off the field, sending Harry Williams on, Adams takes a high kick but England get possession back as May collects...and Manu breaks! Tuilagi sprints through the middle after a powerful break and beats Williams before Gareth Davies eventually brings him down. England are on the attack...
61 mins: England reach the 22 and come left, but Farrell's pop to Nowell is knocked forwards and Gareth Davies gathers. Adams tries to kick deep, but it's blocked and we'll come back for the knock-on.
Changes for Wales now as both props depart, with Evans and Francis replaced by Nicky Smith and Dillon Lewis.
62 mins: Curry. Tom Curry, again. He gets over Parkes and with help from Vunipola, he gets the penalty. Wilson celebrates emphatically, and Farrell will go for goal.
63 mins: Farrell kicks the penalty from about 30m out and England lead by four again. 9-13
65 mins: Nowell intercepts Alun Wyn Jones' pass and England try to attack, but the turnover comes in the form of a knock-on. Wales counter, and when Parkes breaks down the right May and Tuilagi go for the hit at the same time and May comes off second best as he remains on the floor. They stop Parkes but Wales attack, and May takes an age to get back in the line...
69 mins: Wales tried to batter the door down left, but worked it back right towards the posts. It was all one-out stuff, but finally Davies whipped it back to Biggar, who threw a long pass out to North on the right. He had Williams outside him but went along, and Daly and May combined to stop him. Biggaer played scrum-half, and Cory Hill picked a beauty of a line to burst through Vunipola and Williams and score. Biggar converted amid a cacophony of noise, and Wales LEAD for the first time today! 16-13
71 mins: Changes for both sides. May unsurprisingly is off injured and Joe Cokanasiga is on for his Six Nations debut, while try-scorer Hill has departed with Adam Beard on in the second-row.
75 mins: England are a man down here as Lawes is in serious pain. He tries to get up with help from the physio but he collapses, possibly with a serious ankle injury, Wales press on but Daly takes a high Biggar kick and calls the mark. England miss touch, and when Williams returns fire, he does supremely well to take the catch next to the touchline.
