From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Ireland will attempt to win only their third Six Nations Grand Slam in their history as they take on England at Twickenham, having already wrapped up the championship with a game to spare.

After losing to both Scotland and France, England could finish as low as fifth if they lose to the Irish, but a victory could yet see them finish second in the table. However, the two defeats mean they are unable to catch Joe Schmidt’s side, and should the Irish seal a famous St Patrick’s Day victory – their first at Twickenham since 2010 – they will secure the Grand Slam to add to their 1948 and 2009 successes.

England head coach Eddie Jones has rung the changes for the clash, with seven new faces and 10 positional changes as Owen Farrell starts at fly-half with George Ford dropped, while Dan Cole, Joe Launchbury and Danny Care are also replaced with Kyle Sinckler, George Kruis and Richard Wigglesworth.

Ireland meanwhile have recalled Iain Henderson in their only change to the side that beat Scotland last week, with Devin Toner dropping to the bench.

24 mins: Bundee Aki bursts through the England midfield, before throwing a pass inside to CJ Stander, and the Munster man manages to ground the ball at the base of the post to get the score! Sexton adds the easy conversion and the lead is out to 0-14!

England in all sorts of trouble here...

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:16

26 mins: There's another TMO check as Aki looked to have launched a shoulder charge at Daly, flooring the England man and dislodging the ball.It doesn't look great, but it'll be a penalty only against Aki. The crowd don't like it.

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:18

27 mins: Farrell kicks to touch and England have an immediate penalty advantage for an early drive. Gardner gives it, and Farrell puts it back in the corner. Big chance for England here.

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:19

28 mins: England get another good drive going and force another penalty when Henderson is offside. They're starting to tot up, and England go to the corner again...

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:21

29 mins: YELLOW CARD!

Peter O'Mahony is sent to the sin-bin and Ireland are down to 14 for 10 minutes for collapsing the maul.

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:22

29 mins: Hartley misses his man! England's lineout completely flops and Ireland clear the ball. Terrible from England there, really terrible.

Meanwhile, Sexton's got a blood pouring out of his nose and he'll need that seeing to.

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:24

31 mins: Farrell breaks through the line and passes to Watson 10 metres out! He's tackled straight away though and has picked up an injury in the process, but England still have the baLl. Haskell makes a good in-road...

TRY FOR ENGLAND!

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:26

34 mins: Smart work from Farrell. as he chips the ball through on the line to allow Elliot Daly to dive over and score. Farrell misses the conversion, but at least there's signs of life in England. Sexton is off too for an HIA with Joey Carbery on at 10, while Watson's day is done as he's carried off the field. Mike Brown comes on in his place. 5-14

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:29

37 mins: England make good territory as Earls makes a poor clearance kick to about 30m out. Hartley will hope for a better lineout this time around, but this is a good chance to build an attack for the hosts.

Jack de Menezes17 March 2018 15:31

37 mins: England make a good initial drive after Itoje took the ball but they haven't worked the ball back and Henderson wraps it up to force the turnover.
