From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Murray, who wins his first title in over two years, defeated Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram 7-6 5-7 10-5 in front of packed crown in west London.
For the Scot, who hadn't played for six months before this week, it is the perfect return to the game while Lopez adds the doubles crown to the singles title which he won earlier in the day.

Lopez 2-3 Simon*
Another composed gave from Simon, who's one slip away from losing this final. Instead of buckling under the pressure, he forces Lopez into the unforced errors and wraps up the set's fifth game quickly. But can he apply any more pressure to the Lopez serve?
*Lopez 3-3 Simon
That would be a full-proof burn the back of the throat no, then. Lopez serves the game to love, Simon can hardly muster a threatening return and the pressure's back on the Frenchman.
Lopez 3-4 Simon*
A brilliant rally as Lopez shifts Simon on the run out wide, the Frenchman races back and forth to recover before a brilliant back-hand lob forces Lopez to attempt a back-hand smash that just about clips the line. The Spaniard then dinks a drop-shot that Simon reacher but he can't get the dip on the passing shot.
The game goes to deuce but just as Simon looks to be losing his grip, the Frenchman rallies and produces a brilliant cross-court passing shot to see out the game.
*Lopez 4-4 Simon
Another strong display of serving from Lopez, who's desperate to get this over and done with now, gasping for long weary breaths after every point, sighs far overtaking celebration. He's already broken Simon a number of times, can he muster the energy for one more decisive blow?
Lopez 4-5 Simon*
Simon's up to the task again. He forces Lopez onto the backhand foot and prevents him from coming on off the forehand when he's most dangerous. It's comfortable in the end and now the pressure is finally back on the Spaniard who knows a mistake here will mean a draining third-set.
*Lopez 5-5 Simon
Simon plays a pair of lovely winners but it's not enough to deter Lopez's serve. Even when he pulls out all the stops, the Frenchman doesn't quite have the power to batter his way past Lopez, instead his only hope is to grind him steadily down.
Lopez 5-6 Simon*
What a miss. It's 30-15 and Lopez has Simon charging backwards to retrieve a lob and can only swat it back over the net for the simplest of backhand volleys as the whole court beckons. The chance to set up the break is there on a plate and yet Lopez somehow skews the volley into the net! He's furious and kicks the ball in disgust. And as he sees red, Simon takes his chance to finish off the game.
Lopez 6-6 Simon
We're going to a tie-break. Lopez wins the game to 15 with Simon still unable to find a decisive return of serve.
Tiebreak: Lopez 1-0 Simon*
Lopez wins a long rally with a nice forehand down the line and Simon can't curl his return back around the net.
