England sent out the perfect statement ahead of the Rugby World Cup by securing their largest win over Ireland in their history in the form of an eight-try 57-15 rout at Twickenham.

Joe Cokanasiga scored two tries with Manu Tuilagi, one of the standout players of the warm-up clash, also getting on the scoresheet, while Elliot Daly crossed in between to give England a healthy 22-10 half-time lead - following Jordan Larmour's opening score.

But England proved untouchable after the break as Maro Itoje, George Kruis, Tom Curry, Cokanasiga again and LUke Cowan-Dickie all scored, with Bundee Aki scoring a consolation try late in the day.

The result proved the most points England have scored against Ireland along with the largest winning margin, which gets them back to winning ways after last weekend's defeat in Cardiff.

Re-live the action below.

Prediction

England by eight: Eddie Jones has thrown his players into the fire with a shortened training week, but that could have the desired effect in triggering a response to prove they are ready for the World Cup campaign. Given they are a match further into their World Cup preparations, England may just be able to catch Ireland cold.

48 mins: Ireland can't get anything going right now. After Underhill spills the ball Ireland try to attack, only for the advantage to be played and Furlong to get smashed by Underhill and Tuilagi and force the knock-on. From the scrum, England attack into space on the left and Ford releases Daly out the back. He's stopped by Larmour and Kearney on the 22, and when it's recycled Itoje just knocks it forwards to waste the chance.

53 mins: This could be good and bad for England. They play a lovely move out left, with Sinckler linking to Ford who released May out the back. The greyhound-esque wing pinned his ears and went for it, but as he's tackled on the line the ball comes backwards and England regather through Vunipola. Kearney appears to have knocked the ball out of his hands with his head, but May is down injured.

England recycle, and after Curry carries, Youngs feeds George Kruis on the crashball. We go to the TMO...TRY FOR ENGLAND!

57 mins: TRY FOR ENGLAND!

Jack de Menezes24 August 2019 16:27

57 mins: This is blistering stuff from England. Heinz plays the ball from a lineout maul to Sinckler, and the prop shows lovely hands to put Underhill through a gap between Devin Toner and Henderson. The flanker commits last man Larmour and putting over Tom Curry for the sixth try of the afternoon. Farrell converts. 43-10

60 mins: England think they've won the scrum when they hold up Conway though Tuilagi, Itoje and Farrell, but Owens decides it's a catch from a kick and it's Irish ball. The Twickenham crowd aren't impressed.

65 mins: TRY FOR ENGLAND!

Jack de Menezes24 August 2019 16:37

65 mins: That is simply outrageous from Joe Cokanasiga. England attack from the scrum as Heinz goes out to Ford, and again he has Farrell deep who commits Toner and releases the giant wing, who still has work to do. However, he uses Heinz inside him to full effect as the dummy does for Stockdale and gives him a clear run in. Farrell converts to bring up the half-century. 50-10

Jack de Menezes24 August 2019 16:40

70 mins: Ireland are trying to muster up their first points of the half, and back-to-back penalties takes them to the five-metre line as Owens warns England not to slow the ball down. Can they convert the opportunity? No, as Kruis gets up to disrupt Toner and the Irish hand knocks the ball back into touch. Joe Marchant comes on for Manu Tuilagi, who gets a big ovation as he leaves.

73 mins: TRY FOR IRELAND!

Jack de Menezes24 August 2019 16:46

73 mins: Finally, Ireland get their first points of the second half. Jack Carty, on at 10 in place of Byrne. has quickened the Irish attack and his ball to Bundee Aki allows the centre to burst through a gap between Itoje and Billy Vunipola, and he beautifully rounds Daly to score in the corner. Carty can't add the extras. 50-15
