From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

WrestleMania 34 takes place in Sunday night to close out another frantic 12 months of WWE action on the Grandest Stage of them All in New Orleans.

The Mercedez Benz Superdome stages the 34th edition of WrestleMania, which sees a number of fascinating matches booked and the potential second departure of Brock Lesnar, plus a number of rumoured returns including that of the supposedly retired Undertaker.

But one of the biggest matches of the night could well be that of AJ Styles against Shinsuke Nakamura as the two fan-favourites go up against each other for the WWE Championship, while both women’s titles will be on the line as Charlotte Flair takes on Asuka for the Smackdown Championship and Alexa Bliss defends against Nia Jax for the Raw version.

But it’s the professional debut of Ronda Rousey – who teams up with Kurt Angle to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon – that could well be the highlight as the former UFC champion makes her bow in the WWE.

When the Saints go Marching In fires up as Sheamus and Cesaro arrive to defend their Raw Tag Team titles against Braun Strowman and a mystery partner of his choice. The Bar certainly look like they're enjoying themselves as they roll in on a Mardi Gras-style float, before their more familiar music drops and they finally make their way to the ring in what must be said is a rather impressive entrance by the two veterans.

And here comes Strowman, but who has he picked as his partner? Does he have a partner? So many questions, we need an answer.

Before any of those are answered, Strowman clears the float off the titantron and launches it off the stage, snapping it in half. The Bar look distraught, but there's still no sign of a tag team partner.

The introductions start and there's still no partner. The Bar parade their belts, with Strowman getting a big cheer from the fans, and the Monster Among Men takes the microphone to announce who his partner is...and it's...a member of the WWE Universe?! Strowman;s asking who wants to join him in the ring!

The goliath is patrolling the arena to pick someone out, and he seems to have completely lost it as he walks through the crowd. I hope this is going somewhere...

Strowman has picked... a child?! This is getting weird.

The young boy, Nicholas, is now in the ring with Strowman, Cesaro and Sheamus, an he's told to stay on the apron while Strowman beats the Bar - who are bemused. To be fair, so am I.

Finally we're underway, and immediately Sheamus is tossed out of the ring. Cesaro tries to take the fight to Strowman, and gets a double chokeslam for his efforts.

Now Sheamus and Cesaro are starting to work together, with a kick to the knee bringing Strowman down before a double suplex levels the giant. Both Sheamus and Cesaro then leap off the top rope - or in Cesaro's case Sheamus' shoulders - to splash onto Strowman. The fans want the tag though, as "Nicholas, Nicholas" rings out through the arena.
