Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.KSI and Logan Paul will come face to face today for the first time since they fought in front of 18,000 at the Manchester Arena last year.
In the first, the fight broke records and was dubbed the “Biggest Internet Event in History”, but this time the pair turn professional: no headguards, no 16oz gloves.
A UK broadcaster is set to be announced today, as are professional fighters to appear on the undercard and, without doubt, some controversial words will be said and the world will start to talk.
Here’s what you need to know.
What time is the press conference today?
In the UK, the stream will begin from around 9pm, which is 4pm Eastern and 1pm Western in the US.
How can I watch it?
It will be on both KSI and Logan’s respective YouTube channels.
When will the rematch happen?
The bout is set to take place on 9th November, 2019. We’re not too far off then.
Where will the rematch take place?
The fight between the two YouTube sensations will take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California. The first went down at the MEN Arena in Manchester, so this time it’s on Logan’s turf and will have that highly sought after US audience.
How can I get tickets?
Demand for the first fight was somewhat unprecedented and sold out the Manchester Arena, so if you like the idea of being around 18,000 screaming kids for hours then you’ll have to act fast. Tickets will be on general sale from Saturday, 14th September with pre-sale already live. You can buy them right here.
Where will I be able to watch the fight?
If you’re not going to the fight itself, you can watch it on DAZN in the United States and from around the world and if you’re in the UK, you’ll have to stay tuned – no announcement has been made on broadcasting rights just yet.
Hello and welcome to The Independent's live coverage of the first press conference of KSI vs Logan Paul II.
The rematch is officially on and it's set to take place on 9 November at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California.
The feud between the pair started well over a year ago when KSI called Paul out after defeating Joe Weller by technical knockout, and their first fight - in the amateur ranks, saw 18,000 fill out the Manchester Arena, with 1.3 million people paying £7.50 each to watch on pay-per-view.
We'll be bringing you live updates from tonight's press conference and all the build up until then.
Here's everything you need to know about tonight's press conference.
Last night, Devin Haney knocked out Zaur Abdullaev to become Vasyl Lomachenko's mandatory for the WBC lightweight title.
Here's the story from that fight.
So what has KSI said so far?
"Finally, after over a year since our rematch, I get to enter the ring once again to fight Logan Paul.
“If I’m being honest, I didn’t fight well at all in the first fight, and even then, I still managed to draw against him.
“This time I won’t make it so close, especially now that it’s a pro fight, no head guards and 10oz gloves hahahaha, the time to end him is nearing. I can’t wait to see the memes of him slumped on the ground after I’ve repeatedly beaten the life out of him. He’s facing a different animal this time. He will soon realize.
“Big shoutout to DAZN and Matchroom Boxing USA for hosting a monumental fight that will be in the record books whether people like it or not. November 9 is the day ‘The Nightmare’ becomes his reality.”
And this is what Logan Paul has had to say:
“I’m excited to ruin JJs face and I want to thank DAZN for giving me the platform to do so.
“Last fight, KSI couldn’t beat me with only three months of training under my belt. For the past year, while JJ has been wasting his time trying to become a rapper, I’ve been training every single day. I’m finally getting what I wanted from the beginning – no headgear, 10oz gloves, and the opportunity to dismantle JJ’s repugnant face in Los Angeles, my home city.
“After November 9, the embarrassment of losing will eat away at KSI’s ego for the next decade; he will be afraid to show face in America. This time, I won’t leave it up to the judges.
“I’ve been a DAZN fan for a very long time, so it’s an honor to partner with DAZN and Matchroom Boxing USA for what will become the biggest combat sporting event of the year.”
It's fair to say this one has split the boxing world.
One man who is a big fan of the event is someone who's fighting tonight: Tyson Fury.

Speaking of Fury, if you want to watch him fight tonight, this is how you can do it.
It's expected that some undercard fighters will be announced at this evening's press conference.
As first reported on The Independent, both WBO super-middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders and Devin Haney are expected to feature on the card.
A UK broadcaster - likely Sky Sports, will also be confirmed this evening.
