Peru have not qualified to the World Cup in 32 years, but finally booked a spot for Russia after a 2-0 victory over New Zealand in the second leg of their play-off.
However, their preparation has been badly disrupted by captain Paolo Guerrero's failed drugs test, and while he is available for their World Cup opener against Denmark, his availability has not gone without its controversy.
The Danes will clearly hope to take advantage of this, with Age Hareide's squad looking to make a comeback after their failed attempt to propel themselves out of their group back in 2010.
Kep player Christian Eriksen is also in good form after scoring a hat-trick against the Republic of Ireland in the play-offs.

45+1 mins: MISSED PENALTY!
The man who won the penalty takes the penalty, and it is absolutely dreadful! Christian Cueva takes a prolonged and unnecessary run-up before blasting the spotkick high over Kasper Schmeichel's crossbar.
All these missed penalties and England haven't even got involved yet.
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: Christian Cueva looks to still be feeling the effects of that penalty miss as Peru get the second period underway. It's now a big test of character for Ricardo Gareca's team, who are still more than in this game that remains goalless.
50 mins: A first chance of this second half for Farfan to stretch his legs as Cueva sends him clear. The pass takes the Lokomotiv Moscow forward wide, but he has the blistering pace to make room for an angled shot. Andreas Christensen, however, manages to stick with his man the whole way, and, as Farfan strieks for goal, the Chelsea defender manages to get a block in.
57 mins: The trouble with Peru is they're always trying to walk the ball in. Cueva may now be doubting his striking ability because he does brilliantly well to escape in the penalty area and skip past a defender. The shot looks on but instead he sends a misdirected centre towards Carrillo, who fails to control before Farfan turned the ball wide.
Turns out the linesman's flag was up anyway.
59 mins: GOAL! PERU 0 DENMARK 1:
On the counter attack, Denmark take the lead! The Peruvians had committed too many men forward as they sensed the opener, only to concede it at the other end. For the first time, Christian Eriksen found himself in space, running through the midfield at three defenders, and when they drew themselves towards him, he simply played in Yussuf Yurary Poulsen to his left. The man who conceded the first half penalty took the opportunity to become the hero, placing his left-footed shot past a poorly positioned Pedro Gallese.
61 mins: Peru nearly level immediately but Flores' shot is blocked one-handed by Schmeichel. The game has kicked back into life now, alright.
