Neither side have really come close to scoring, with the Toffees enjoying more possession and the home side creating one or two opportunities at the end of the half, with Pickford making a good stop to deny Bowen and then blocking an effort from Antonio which looked to be a cross. Everton have generated an xG of 0.47 to West Ham's 0.19. Both sides will be under pressure by their own supporters to produce much better performances in the second half.

Bowen intercepts Tarkowski's poor pass. He keeps the ball before playing in Antonio, who tries to round Pickford but the keeper narrows the angle and blocks his finish. West Ham have come alive in these last few minutes but Pickford has been equal to both Bowen and Antonio.

The angle is acute but his right-footed strike has plenty of power and Pickford makes a smart stop low down! The closest either side have come in this first half.
