West Ham 1-1 Crystal Palace: Odsonne Edouard was gifted an equaliser as the points were shared at the London Stadium
West Ham scored early but were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
West Ham took the lead in the 13th minute when James Ward-Prowse played a pass out wide to Vladimir Coufal on the right who cut it back to Mohammed Kudus in the area and his first time shot found the bottom corner via a small deflection.
Palace’s equaliser came in the 53rd minute with West Ham looking to play it out from the back, but a stray pass from Konstantinos Mavropanos was picked up by Odsonne Edouard who raced into the box and fired his shot into the far corner.
The home side finished stronger and had chances late on to take all three points, but Palace held out for a well-earned draw.
The Hammers remained ninth in the standings, on 21 points, while Palace moved up to 12th on 16 points.

West Ham now have a chance from a corner as Alvarez's cross is deflected behind. Ward-Prowse is standing over it and delivers towards the back post. Aguerd wins the header, but it drops to Olise who is able to clear. The ball eventually finds Kudus on the left who sends in a deep cross, and Mavropanos rises above his marker but his header drifts wide of the post.

Both sides are yet to make a change with the game a stalemate at the moment. Hodgson will be happy with how his side have reacted in the second half, with Moyes likely to be disappointed with their lack of creativity. It wouldn't be a surprise to see some movement on the benches very soon.

West Ham are dominating the possession in the second half and have had 65.3 per cent of the ball, but they are struggling to turn it into clear-cut chances. Palace are happy to sit in and try and hit the Hammers on the counter-attack.

It eventually finds Soucek who is on the end of a rough challenge, but the referee waves play on. Palace now break as Olise looks to feed Edouard in the penalty area, but Aguerd is there to intercept.

Coufal isn't happy as Mitchell appears to kick out off the ball. The referee didn't spot it and the game continued, but this could be checked by the VAR team. However, the referee signals that the game can continue. Mitchell might consider himself a little lucky there.

What a chance! West Ham should be ahead. Soucek feeds Paqueta who shifts the ball onto his left foot and sends a dangerous cross into the box. Emerson arrives at the back post unmarked, but his volley flies over the bar from just a few yards out. He will be disappointed not to have hit the target from there.

Kudus turns superbly leaving Mitchell behind, but his throughball can't find Bowen beyond the Palace defence. The Eagles then look to break away with Ayew, but Coufal brings him down. West Ham are looking frustrated after struggling to perform at the level they are capable of since the break.

Palace have been the better side since the break and have limited West Ham to just one shot from Ward-Prowse's free-kick. The Eagles have drastically improved from a creativity perspective, managing two shots on target since the second half got under way, including Edouard's equaliser.

Bowen feeds the ball out wide to Kudus who cuts inside onto his left foot and Ayew brings him down just outside of the penalty area. Ward-Prowse and Paqueta are standing over it and it's certainly in shooting range for West Ham. Ward-Prowse strikes it... but it's straight into the wall.
