The Premier League's January transfer window is upon us with Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle all set to be busy.
Arsenal look set to be the busiest club as the deadline rapidly approaches. With no money to spend loans are on the agenda with moves for Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, Barcelona's Denis Suarez and PSG's Christopher Nkunku being frantically worked on. Chelsea have made the biggest splash with the signing of Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic but could well add more after seeing Gonzalo Higuain arriving from AC Milan on loan. The future of Callum Hudson-Odoi remains in the balance, however.
Manchester United are flying - could Ole Gunnar Solskjaer add to his in-form squad this month? - while Manchester City and Liverpool could look to dip their toes in the water with the title race looking set to go right down to the wire. Stoke have made an enquiry for Burnley striker Sam Vokes.
The 29-year-old Wales international could be available for around £9m this month, according to the Mail.
Burnley boss is reticent to let him go, however, but is interested in Birmingham's Che Adams as a potential replacement should Vokes leave.
Watford have no interest in selling Abdoulaye Doucoure this month.
The in-form midfielder is catching the eye this season with Paris Saint-Germain particularly interested.
But the Evening Standard say the 26-year-old is staying put, for now at least.
Barcelona have softened their stance on Denis Suarez, reopening the possibility of Arsenal signing the midfielder on loan this month.
Suarez was first offered to the Gunners back in December and became enthused about the prospect of a reunion with Unai Emery after Arsenal began to show concrete interest in bringing him to London.
Arsenal's interest was only ever in a loan move with an option to buy in the summer. Short on transfer funds this month, they are interested in Suarez for the versatility he would bring to their midfield and his potential to improve further.
While he is 25 years old, Suarez has only really had three full first-team campaigns where he has featured in the majority of games - one of those coming under Emery's orders at Sevilla.

Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi will remain with the club beyond the end of this transfer window.
The 18-year-old is wanted by Bayern Munich who were increasingly confident of getting a deal in the region of £40m done this month.
But that hope now appears remote with the possibility of him now staying at Chelsea a real option.
"I have not the power to sign new contracts here, but on the pitch I'm really very happy with him," he said.
"The club told me in this window he will remain with us for sure and very probably also in the next."
What of more incomings at the Bridge and a possible replacement for Cesc Fabregas?
"You know very well my opinion," Sarri says. "I thought for us it was important to have two players.
"One has arrived [Higuain] and I'm waiting for the other. If he will arrive I'll be very happy, but if he doesn't I will work with these players. It's not a problem."
So who will help persuade Hudson-Odoi to stay?
It won't be the manager.
The injuries to Harry Kane and Dele Alli have left Spurs short on options in attack, with the lack of transfer activity in recent windows exposed with Fernando Llorente left as the only realistic attacking option.
However Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he had been looking to strengthen, but any hopes of adding to his squad appeared to be diminishing.
"You know how we work at the last minute everything can happen," he said.
"A few days ago I was very optimistic about a realistic option to sign but today I am not optimistic at all."
Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke will see out this season with the club despite January interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are among those keeping tabs on the versatile forward, but neither will be able to prise the teenager away from Elland Road in the middle of a campaign that Clarke hopes will end in promotion.
In a situation similar to that of Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon a year ago, Leeds are unwilling to listen to offers until they know what division they will be playing in next year.
Should the Yorkshire club achieve promotion back to the Premier League for the first time in fifteen years then Clarke's value will only increase.

The Belgian international has fallen out of favour under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Leicester midfielder Adrien Silva is looking to agree a loan deal with Bordeaux, according to L'Equipe.
The Portuguese has not started in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.
