The January transfer window has shut and Premier League sides will have to make do with what they have until the summer beyond free agents.

Crystal Palace's late swoop for Michy Batshuayi on loan should provide intrigue with the Belgian flopping at Valencia and requiring a fresh start, and with the Eagles still to face Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham, he could still aid Chelsea this season.

Arsenal wrapped up the loan (with an option to buy) signing of Barcelona's Denis Suarez to give Unai Emery an alternative option, whilst Newcastle's club record £21 million move for Miguel Almiron should please Rafa Benitez after a turbulent few weeks.

Let's start at Arsenal who could be the busiest of the top six clubs today.

A deal for Denis Suarez is as good as done and will be announced shortly but the Gunners aren't planning on stopping there.

They are still working on a move for a winger with Yannick Carrasco and Ivan Perisic still possible while PSG's Christopher Nkunku is another target.

Paris St Germain have launched a late bid for Chelsea playmaker Willian, the Daily Mail reports.

The big-spending French giants are targeting the Brazilian as a replacement for record signing Neymar after he was signed off for 10 weeks after fracturing a metatarsal, the paper says.

The Blues are said to value the 30-year-old at £40million and he has 18 months left on his contract.

Barcelona are also said to have made an approach, while Chinese club Dalian Yifang have also reportedly showed strong interest.

Real Madrid remain intent on landing Marcus Rashford and will spend £100million to do so, the Sun reports.

With hours left of the January window the European champions are yet to make a move, although the prospect of a bid before next season remains alive, the paper says.

The £60,000-a-week striker, 21, is reported to be holding off signing a new contract and his current terms expire next summer.

However, he may ultimately choose to stay at Old Trafford - Rashford's mood is said to have improved under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his pay packet could more than treble.

Staying at United where they are said to have secured the services of Anthony Martial until 2024 after the forward agreed an extension, the Daily Mirror reports.

The deal is said to be worth around £175,000-a-week for the France international, 23, and has the option to extend again for another year.

Talks are also expected to take place on extending David De Gea's contract, the paper says.

An extra-year option in the £200,000-a-week goalkeeper's contract has reportedly been triggered, although the club are said to want to keep hold of him.

To Tottenham and more bad news.

Adrien Rabiot is said to have turned down a move to Spurs because he wants to join Liverpool instead, according to The Sun.

The 23-year-old's contract is up in the summer.

West Ham are poised to revive their efforts to bring on Olivier Giroud after concerns were raised over the fitness of Marko Arnautovic, the Daily Mirror says.

Chelsea's 32-year-old forward has been in the Hammers' cross hairs before - although he ended up heading from Arsenal to Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman has reportedly already turned down a £9million-a-year offer from Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang.

Mauricio Pochettino hasn't signed a single player over the last two transfer windows.

And he's apparently turned down the chance to sign one again today.

The Sun report that Tottenham were offered Malcom on loan by Barcelona but the Argentine said no.

To the Championship where Aston Villa appear to be ready to bolster their promotion challenge.

Villa are set to sign Tyrone Mings on loan from Bournemouth for the rest of the season.

Marouane Fellaini is one player that could leave Old Trafford on Thursday, who is understood to have agreed a deal with Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng.

Fellaini signed a new two-year contract at United last summer but is not viewed as a first-choice player by caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It is not yet clear how much United expect to receive for the 31-year-old and, as the Chinese Super League window is open until 28 February, the deal may be completed at a later date.
