Alvaro Morata completed a long-awaited move to Atletico Madrid, with the deal subject to Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival. The Spaniard joins Atletico on an 18-month loan which includes a £48.5m option to buy.
Further speculation centred on the Blues’ coveted starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi as German publication Bild reported that Chelsea will turn down any deal this window for the 18-year-old.

BREAKINGAtletico Madrid have announced the loan signing of Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata, with the Spain international agreeing a deal to return to his childhood for not just the rest of the season, but the entirety of next season too.
The forward has fallen out of favour under Maurizio Sarri and the acquisition of Gonzalo Higuain last week gave Morata the green light to leave the club, and while the deal with Atletico is only an 18-month loan, the Liga club have the option to sign Morata on a permanent deal at any time for £48.5m.
