The January transfer window closes at 23:00 on Tuesday 31 January
Memphis Depay is moving ever closer to ending his nightmarish spell at Manchester United.
Over the last week, reports have suggested that the 22-year-old winger is in line to move to Lyon.
Now, according to L'Equipe, a fee has finally been agreed between the two clubs this afternoon and Depay is ready to sign a four-and-a-half year contract with the Ligue 1 club.
Middlesbrough have signed Patrick Bamford from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old striker, who spent the earlier part of the season on loan at Burnley, returns to the Riverside Stadium on a four-and-a-half year deal.
Bamford has previously turned out for the Teesside club while on loan from Chelsea during the 2014/15 season, when he scored 19 goals in 44 appearances.
More details emerging on Memphis Depay's impending move to Lyon...
After L'Equipe's earlier report, several outlets are now claiming that a deal has been agreed between Manchester United and the Ligue 1 club.
Depay's initial transfer fee is thought to be around £16million and could potentially rise to £21.7m.
The deal is also thought to include a buy-back clause, should United wish to try once again to turn the talented but inconsistent winger into an Old Trafford success.
