Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Sergio Ramos has said that he is not negotiating with either Real Madrid or Manchester United at the current time.
Speaking for the first time this summer about his future, the 29-year-old had a straight forward response for reporters.
"I'm not negotiating with anyone," Ramos told Spanish TV channel Cuatro when asked by stopped by reporters outside of a wedding he was attending.
"All is well".
Ramos has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford with his relationship with Real Madrid club President Florentino Perez seemingly beyond repair.
There is a sense that Ramos could be after an improved contract at the Bernabeu, while Manchester United now seem intent on bringing Ramos to the club in exchange for David De Gea, the Spanish club's top target.
Ramos was offered an improved £5milllion contract by Real earlier this week, way short of the £7.8m deal United are reported to have already offered.
