With the window shutting soon, interest in players is likely to spike in the coming days, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham and more all looking to strengthen or slim down their squads ahead of the second half of the season.
Today’s rumour mill involves Arsenal who are close to completing a loan deal for talented Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard. The deal is thought to cost Arsenal around £2.5m in fees plus the 22-year-old’s wages as he seeks game time away from Real Madrid. Meanwhile there is a battle on for 16-year-old Derby talent Kaide Gordon, and Liverpool are reported to be winning the race for the winger ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham.
United meanwhile could reward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for positioning the club in the thick of the title picture, though there could be many outgoings at Old Trafford, too, with Juan Mata linked to his former club Valencia. Newcastle United have had a loan-to-buy bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes rejected, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, while West Ham lead the race for Jesse Lingard after the arrival of Atalanta teenager Amad Diallo made Lingard’s exit inevitable. SANSON TO COMPLETE VILLA MOVE IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS
Aston Villa will complete the signing of Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson in the next 24 hours, claim French outlet La Provence.
The deal is expected to cost around €16m after Marseille director of football Pablo Longoria concluded negotiations with the Premier League side.
SOLSKJAER CONFIRMS LOAN EXIT AND GIVES DIALLO UPDATE
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Facundo Pellistri will leave the club on loan this month.
The 19-year-old winger, who has been linked with a move to Italian Serie B side Monza, arrived from Penarol in October but has yet to make an appearance for the first team.
"There have been talks and quite a few clubs interested in taking Facundo on loan and that’s something we’ll maybe let him do now he’s had a few games in the reserves," Solskjaer said in his press conference ahead of tomorrow's game against Sheffield United.
An update was also provided on Amad Diallo's progress following the teenager's move from Atalanta.
"He’s just come in, he’s going through a good training regime and training programme and he’s doing really well," Solskjaer added. "So it won’t be too long before I can bring him into the squad."

Bayer Leverkusen have made an official bid for Leicester winger Demarai Gray, according to Sky Germany.
The 24-year-old has been a bit-part player under Brendan Rodgers this season, and has also been linked with Crystal Palace and Benfica.
SPURS LINKED WITH SERIE A WINGER
Tottenham are interested in signing Sampdoria winger Mikkel Damsgaard, according to Club Doria.
The 20-year-old has impressed under Claudo Ranieri since joining the Italian club from Nordsjaelland last year.
And Spurs are reportedly amongst the frontrunners to sign Damsgaard, with a potential offer on the cards.
LAMPARD TRANSFER DEMAND CAUSED RIFT AT CHELSEA
Frank Lampard's insistence on pursuing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice in the transfer market caused problems at Chelsea, claim the Athletic.
The former Derby coach was sacked yesterday after 18 months as manager at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard was reportedly determined to sign Rice despite reluctance from Chelsea's board and West Ham's unwillingness to sell.
His bullishness reportedly put pressure on his job last year, particularly after £200m had already been spent on summer signings.
CELTIC JOIN RACE TO SIGN RANGERS TARGET
Celtic have made an approach to sign Wigan forward Kyle Joseph, according to Football Insider.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs after impressing in League One this season.
Rangers are amongst them, but Celtic have reportedly made a "preliminary" move.
Joseph is out of contract in the summer and Wigan may look to cash in this month.
