Aaron Wan-Bissaka is in Manchester today to seal his move to United from Crystal Palace, worth up to £50m.
The defender has travelled north with his entourage to and providing he passes a medical this morning, he could be confirmed as a new Manchester United player by the end of the day.
Benfica say Atletico Madrid have made an offer of 126 million euros to sign teenage forward Joao Felix, touted in Portugal as a possible successor to Cristiano Ronaldo.
The transfer would be one of the most expensive ever, with a higher price tag than what Juventus paid Real Madrid for Ronaldo — nearly 100 million euros — last year.
Benfica said on Wednesday the club was evaluating the offer, which would give them a net value of 120 million euros, equivalent to the player's buyout clause.
Chelsea are on the verge of completing a surprising move for Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic.
Kovacic played a prominent role under Maurizio Sarri last season but was widely expected to be looking for a new club this summer, with neither his parent club Real Madrid nor his loan club Chelsea wanting to keep the Croatian permanently.
But Chelsea's hierarchy have decided, with no manager in charge currently, to take the plunge and seal a deal for the midfielder as one of the few players they can sign despite their pending two-window transfer ban.
Inter Milan are pushing hard to sign Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku, and are prepared to spend £62.8m to clinch it, according to the Guardian.
Inter are pursuing an initial loan move with an obligation to buy at the end of the term, as they also aim to offload Mauro Icardi for a similar total figure.
PSG have not giving up hope of signing Matthijs de Ligt despite his almost-done-deal with Juventus, in another huge story in the Guardian this morning.
The Ajax captain has already agreed a contract with Juventus worth £21m per year, as the club looks to agree a transfer fee of around £70m with Ajax to complete the move.
But PSG are aiming to scupper all that and have the financial muscle to exceed Juve's offer. They remain in contact with Mina Raiola, De Ligt's agent.
Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is set to leave the club on loan in a bid to get more first-team minutes.
The 22-year-old impressed last season on loan at Sheffield United and is seen as having the potential to be a long-term successor to David de Gea.
Speaking about Henderson's future, Sky Sports said: "For his development I would say yes it is the perfect move for him to go back to Sheffield United this season.
"He needs to play, and with a lot of uncertainty really around the future of Manchester United, this could be a really important time for him to be getting game time.
"There’s no resolution as of yet for the contract of David de Gea going forward. So there may well be an opening for the No 1 shirt in the next 18 months to two years."
It is a busy time for Manchester United as they look to bolster their defence with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and a centre-back.
Samuel Umtiti is rumoured to be on their radar, although Barcelona are reluctant to part with the France international.
But Harry Maguire has dropped off the wanted list after Leicester slapped a figure of £100m on his sizable forehead. Read more:
Jay Dasilva has drawn time on his career at Chelsea, completing a permanent transfer to Bristol City.
The 21-year-old spent eight years at the Blues, and won three FA Youth Cups during his time with the academy, but never made his first-team debut.
After impressing on-loan with the Robbins last season, he now becomes the permanent replacement to Lloyd Kelly, who joined Bournemouth earlier this summer for £13m.
Barcelona have confirmed the signing the Valencia goalkeeper Neto.
The move comes only days after the Barca back-up Jasper Cillessen – who had been linked with a move to Manchester United – went the other way in a £31m transfer.
The only pictures we have of Neto in our system is of him conceding goals, but we've been assured he has made plenty of saves too.
