Follow live coverage as Tottenham Hotspur face West Ham United today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

The old saying goes: 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and that's exactly what Julen Lopetegui is going for with his West Ham lineup today. He's opted for no changes following the 4-1 thrashing of Ipswich before the international break. He'll be hoping that the front four players have the same effect as against the Tractor Boys, where they all chipped in with goals.

Following the disappointing 3-2 defeat away to Brighton after being in control, Ange Postecoglou makes two changes. Son Heung-Min arrives after recovering from injury. Out comes Timo Werner. The other change sees Yves Bissouma take the place of Rodrigo Bentancur. Between the sticks, Guglielmo Vicario is starting his 50th game for Tottenham in all competitions today. Another handy comeback from injury, sees Richarlison on the bench for the Lilywhites.

In this battle of North and East London, ninth-placed Tottenham welcome 12th-placed West Ham. The Lilywhites occupy ninth with 10 points after seven matches. Tottenham lost their last Premier League match 3-2 at American Express Stadium against Brighton. West Ham are hoping their away contest against Spurs will prove to be the start of a more consistent run of form after an up-and-down start to their Premier League season. Last time out, the Hammers defeated Ipswich Town 4-1 at home in their last league match to break a four-match winless streak, leaving them in 12th with eight points.
