Follow live coverage as Tottenham Hotspur face Ipswich Town today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Tottenham Hotspur vs Ipswich Town

The full-time whistle blows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Ipswich Town stun Spurs to claim their first Premier League win of the season thanks to goals from Sammie Szmodics and Liam Delap. Coming into the game as huge underdogs, The Tractor Boys performed brilliantly throughout the 90 minutes and led thanks to a magical overhead kick from former Blackburn man Szmodics. Soon after, it was 2-0 as Delap bundled home just before half-time to send the away fans into dreamland. Despite a lifeline from Rodrigo Bentancur, the visitors held on for three valuable points as the boos rung out in north London. The home side created a number of chances in the second-half with an overall xG of 1.82, while the away side had an xG of 1.74. The victory moves Kieran McKenna’s side one place above the relegation zone, while Ange Postecoglou’s Lilywhites are in 10th position ahead of the international break. Thanks for reading!
