Follow live coverage as Tottenham Hotspur face Chelsea today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.
Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Maresca rang the changes for Chelsea's 5-1 thumping of struggling Southampton in midweek, and he does the same here as he returns to what is probably close to his first-choice starting XI. Sanchez is in for Jorgensen between the sticks, while Colwill and Badiashile will start at centre-half. Lavia comes in for Gusto with Caicedo shifting to right-back, while Neto, Sancho and Jackson will start in attack.

Postecoglou makes three changes from the side that started the disappointing defeat at the Vitality Stadium, welcoming the returns of Van de Ven and Romero at centre-back as Dragusin drops to the bench, while Ben Davies misses out altogether with an injury. Son also starts in place of Maddison.

On the other hand, Chelsea seem to have left their inconsistent ways of recent campaigns behind them, and a victory on the road here will move them to within four points of leaders Liverpool at the top of the Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino's sacking and Enzo Maresca's subsequent arrival ahead of this season faced scrutiny, but those changes seem to be paying dividends so far.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea
Inconsistency has plagued yet another season for Tottenham, following up a stunning 4-0 win away at champions Manchester City with a three-game winless streak in all competitions. The most recent of those matches was a 1-0 defeat away at Bournemouth in midweek, with manager Ange Postecoglou involved in a confrontation with some of the travelling contingent following the final whistle. That loss has them heading into this game in 11th.
