Brentford are 1-0 up at half-time against Southampton thanks to a first half goal from Schade. It came after just six minutes when the German winger got on the end of a through ball from Damsgaard and slotted past Ramsdale. The Bees have had their chances to double their lead but Ramsdale kept out Wissa before the crossbar denied Norgaard. Damsgaard's low effort also came close for the visitors. The hosts though ended the first half the stronger of the two sides with Dibling going closest when he hit the side netting. Saints have only created an xG of 0.17 compared to an xG of 1.15 for Brentford.
