The Premier League match’s most spectacular moment, from a wide selection, was reserved for Diogo Jota when he scored his third goal and won the game in the 93rd after Leicester had brought it back to 3-3 with minutes to spare through Wes Morgan.
Claude Puel’s job has been under increasing pressure and Morgan’s 87th minute header to seemingly salvage a point may have offered him some respite from difficult questions, but Wolves’ ability to calve open their visitors for a fourth time late in the game will certainly drag his future back into the spotlight.

Ruben Neves: The 21-year-old has been a standout performer in Wolves’ midfield this season. 9 minutes
He's not comfortable, but Maguire will continue and Jonny Evans is therefore recalled to the bench after being sent to warm up.
10 minutes
Harvey Barnes looks to move towards a pass threaded down the centre-back/wing-back channel, but he is well tracked by Spanish international Jonny Otto and fouls him as he tries to beat the right wing-back to the ball.
11 minutes
Excellent possession play from Wolves draws a round of applause from the home crowd and an equally brilliant pass from Conor Coady sends Diogo Jota in behind over the top.
Corner.
GOAL! Wolves 2-0 Leicester (Ryan Bennett, 12 minutes)
The perils of a zone-marking system! A first goal of the season for Ryan Bennett!
Joao Moutinho's corner is delectably floated and Wolves have worked an overload on Harry Maguire in the middle, with Romain Saiss drawing his attention closer to the taker.
That allows Bennett to drift in behind him, time his leap well and head home over the England centre-half leaving Kasper Schmeichel with no chance.
14 minutes
Wolves have plenty of height in their side and Leander Dendoncker rises highest to head away a Demarai Gray corner.
Frenzied start at Molineux.
15 minutes
Rui Patricio is not producing a vintage performance.
He gives the ball away and a deflected Gray drive will give Leicester another corner.
It eventually comes to Harry Maguire and then on to Jamie Vardy, but Wes Morgan is not the man to surge onto Vardy's forward header and Romain Saiss watches it behind.
16 minutes
More promising play from Leicester.
Ben Chilwell gets to the byline and earns another corner.
Real ebb-and-flow to a frantic first 16 minutes, but Wolves lead by two.
17 minutes
The corner is again headed clear, and Wolves appear to have men over once again after a forward hoist, but Diogo Jota has fouled Ricardo to end the movement.
18 minutes
More action!
Rui Patricio does superbly on this occasion to get a firm hand to Demarai Gray's fiercely-struck 20-yard drive after cutting inside.
We could have had more than two goals.
20 minutes
Harvey Barnes and Ben Chilwell have started to combine nicely down the left, and they work an opportunity for Gray again to meet Wilfred Ndidi's loft on the volley, but Patricio has less bother on this occasion and claims.
Again Leicester come forward, this time on the opposite wing, and, after Gray's shot is repelled by Conor Coady, right-winger Ricardo Pereira fires wide.
