From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Marko Arnautovic's quickfire double rescued West Ham from another defeat by bogey side Brighton.
The Hammers were staring at a fourth loss in four meetings with Brighton since they were promoted after goals from Dale Stephens and Shane Duffy put the visitors in charge.
But two goals in two minutes from Austrian forward Arnautovic lifted the hoodoo as West Ham snatched a 2-2 draw.
All the goals came in the space of 12 second-half minutes of a contest which came to life after Brighton struck from two corners. Re-live the action below:
What time does it start?
West Ham vs Brighton kicks off at 7:45pm (GMT)
Where can I watch it?
The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK. Highlights will be shown on Match of the Day on BBC One at 22:45.

Player to watch
Marko Arnautovic: Injury has slowed the Austrian strikers’ season but nevertheless he still has five goals and two assists to his name in 14 appearances. Labelled by many as the best player outside the top six, Arnautovic brings a huge threat against any side in the division.

Prediction
West Ham 3-1 Brighton: Brighton are a very different side away from home and have struggled when visiting teams. West Ham were poor against Burnley but with that loss aside, they’re still on good form. I’m confident they’ll respond and I think they’ll win this one.
GOAL! Bournemouth 2-3 Watford (Ken Sema, 38 minutes)
THERE ARE MORE!
Watford are back ahead. It is a top volley from Ken Sema, picking out the bottom corner from 20 yards.
But wait...
GOAL! Bournemouth 3-3 Watford (Ryan Fraser, 40 minutes)
WHAT IS IN THE WATER ON THE SOUTH COAST?!?
FOUR GOALS IN SIX MINUTES!
Junior Stanislas' ball across is left by two Bournemouth players, allowing it to run into Ryan Fraser's path, and the Scotsman's firmly struck drive levels things up again.
Crazy stuff.
Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 43 minutes
With the attacking explosion at the Vitality Stadium, I have rather neglected the action at St James' Park.
It remains 0-0 with half-time drawing near. Manchester United are now in the ascendency with greater control over the game, but the clear chances have dried up a little.
Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 45 minutes
Mohamed Diame's challenge on Paul Pogba has left him a little sore, and he is down receiving treatment as two minutes of stoppage time are signalled.
Half-time at St James' Park. Newcastle started brightly with chances for Christian Atsu, while Manchester United have had moments, but it is goalless through 45 minutes.
And a remarkable half of football is over at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth 3-3 Watford the half-time (!) score.
Ryan Fraser fires home the sixth goal of a ridiculous first half at the Vitality Stadium.
55 minutes
Still just those two goals shared by ten-man Huddersfield and Burnley to speak of in terms of action from the 7.45pm kick-offs.
Deadlock at Stamford Bridge, the London Stadium and Molineux.
GOAL! West Ham 0-1 Brighton (Dale Stephens, 56 minutes)
Goalless no more at the London Stadium!
A well-taken goal from Dale Stephens, meeting a Lukasz Fabianski punch from a Brighton corner on the volley and finding a beautiful finish.
A first ever Premier League goal for Stephens, and Brighton lead.
