Manchester United travel to Watford on Tuesday looking to improve upon their 1-0 victory against Brighton over the weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s men edged past the Seagulls in a disappointing display at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon and face another tough test against Marco Silva’s Watford.

Romelu Lukaku will be free to play for United after avoiding punishment for his conduct towards Brighton’s Gaetan Bony. For Watford, Sebastian Prodl is in contention to make a first start since August.

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday 28 November at Vicarage Road.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be broadcast on BT Sport 1. Coverage starts at 7.15pm.

It’s a big game for…

Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian may have eight goals and three assists to his name so far this season but the forward has not yet won over his critics. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic back from injury some quarters of the United faithful have called for Mourinho to drop Lukaku in favour of the Swede. A big performance from the 24-year-old against Watford would surely go some way to reminding the United boss of his worth. The pressure is on.

Remember when…

United suffered their third defeat in a week at the hands of Watford at the start of last season? Late goals from Juan Zuniga and Troy Deeney secured a 3-1 victory for the Hornets.

Player to watch…

Richarlison. Watford continued their fine away form at the weekend with a 3-0 victory over Newcastle. Richarlison was particularly impressive, providing Andre Gray with the assist for the visitors’ third at St James' Park. The Brazilian forward now has five goals and three assists under his belt and has now allegedly caught the interest of Tottenham. Against a defensively vulnerable United side, Richarlison could be the man to do some real damage on Tuesday.

19 mins: GOAL! WATFORD 0 MANCHESTER UNITED 1:

Back where it all began, one-time Watford youngster Ashley Young has landed the game's first blow on his old side. There appeared little danger when United squared a slow attack left to Young, playing in a more offensive role this evening. The 32-year-old reacted brilliantly to flick the ball off the toes of Kiko Femenia and away from Adrian Mariappa before firing an instinctive shot back through the legs of the former. Hard, fast and low, the ball buried itself inside Heurelho Gomes' near post before the Watford goalkeeper could get across to save, and United have the lead.

23 mins: Abdoulaye Doucoure becomes the first player to see the yellow of Jonathan Moss' cards this evening for dragging back Paul Pogba as the midfielder marauded forward. United have a free-kick in a dangerous position, 25 yards from Gomes' goal.

25 mins: GOAL! WATFORD 0 MANCHESTER UNITED 2:

He's done it again! Ashley Young has his second of the season and his second within six minutes. Taking charge of the free-kick won by Paul Pogba, the winger curled a brilliant right-footed effort over the Watford wall and into the top left corner of Heurelho Gomes' goal as the Brazilian custodian stood and watched. Tearing away to celebrate, Young laps up the delirium emanating from the away end by sliding on his knees in jubilation - so much for the nonsense of not celebrating against former clubs.

45+1 mins: GOAL! LEICESTER 2 TOTTENHAM 0:

Jamie Vardy and, now, Riyad Mahrez. It's like the 2015-16 season all over again as Leicester City put one of the Premier League's big guns to the sword. The Algerian bags his fourth of the season with a scorcher, taking Wilfred Ndidi's pass in his stride, cutting in from the right and planting an effort into the top corner of Hugo Lloris' net.

32 mins: GOAL! WATFORD 0 MANCHESTER UNITED 3:

It's a third goal in 13 minutes! Romelu Lukaku took charge of chaos in the home defence, feeding an overlapping Anthony Martial with a first-time pass. The French forward kept his composure and coolly slotted past Heurelho Gomes for 3-0. United are in complete control and Watford have been blitzed!

38 mins: Back in the game, back in the side and back in the book. Returning Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is cautioned for climbing all over the back of Richarlison as the midfielder attempted to wrestle free.

40 mins: It's another yellow card and another Manchester United free-kick on the edge of the Watford box. This time it's Adrian Mariappa, cautioned for bringing down Martial, but some rare respite comes for the home side when Young drills his free-kick into the wall.

Sam Dymond28 November 2017 20:46

45 mins: Excellent double save from Gomes! All he had done this evening previously was pick the ball out of his own net, but the Watford goalkeeper has just shown his worth to the cause. The Brazilian got down low to his right to push out Lukaku's angled drive, and then did brilliantly to pick himself immediately and turn Jesse Lingard's follow-up over the crossbar.
