From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Tottenham take on Watford at White Hart Lane hoping to keep up the pressure on Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

A win for Spurs would take them to within four points of the top, before league leaders Chelsea play away to Bournemouth later today.

Both teams have a number of injuries to contend with, although captain Hugo Lloris does return for Spurs.

Watford meanwhile will be playing 'without a defence' according to manager Walter Mazzarri because of a number of injuries and a suspension for Sebastian Prödl.

It’s a big game for…

Vincent Janssen. All has not gone to plan since the big Dutchman's arrival in the Premier League and with Harry Kane now on his way back he'll need a positive performance to stay in his manager's thoughts.

Earlier this season...

Player to watch…

Dele Alli. The England man has been on fire since the turn of the year and has scored five in his last eight games in all competitions. With Kane still working his way back Alli is Spurs' main attacking threat.

BOURNEMOUTH 1 - 3 CHELSEA

It's all over at Dean Court, with Chelsea securing the three points and continuing their fine form at the top of the table. Two first half goals from Costa and Hazard provided Conte's men the advantage, but King's sublime striker just before the interval gave Bournemouth a lease of life. A stunning free kick from Alonso in the second half sealed the deal for the title toppers. Chelsea now sit seven points clear of Tottenham and take yet another stride towards their fifth league title.

It's been a glorious day of Premier League football. That is all from us today here at The Independent, but make sure you tune in tomorrow.

Thanks.
