From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

GOAL! Newcastle 3-2 Everton (Perez)
84 minutes
Incredible drama at St James' Park! Perez has his second in three minutes and Newcastle have completed an astonishing turnaround. GOAL! Leicester 3-1 Fulham (Vardy)
86 minutes
The goals are flying in now. Vardy gets his second at the King Power after some excellent work from Harvey Barnes. Fulham look down and out now.
Southampton 2-1 Tottenham

Tottenham are pushing forward now, desperately searching for an equaliser. They seemed so comfortable for so long this afternoon, but Southampton have stepped up a level after the break. This would be a big three points for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side.

A big chance goes begging for Spurs! An Eriksen corner finds its way through to Sissoko, but he scuffs his shot. Time is running out.
Full time: It's finished at Huddersfield, where Bournemouth have won for just the fourth time away from home this season. The Terriers are all but relegated now, while Bournemouth are comfortable in midtable.
Full time: It's game over at Southampton, too. The Saints have pulled off an impressive comeback, fighting back from a goal down to beat a Tottenham side who appeared in control of the game.
Leicester, too, have secured a welcome three points over Fulham. It's Brendan Rodgers' first win and he'll be pleased with some of his side's attacking play.
